Concert!

The American Idol concert was sooooo awesome!
August 5th, 2006--me and Mom.
Everyone was great. Everyone sang their song from the album. It started with the theme song, then Mandisa came out with I'm Every Woman. Then she sang another song and then Ace came out. After Ace, then Lisa, Paris, then Bucky. Kelly was sick or something and didn't sing. She just came out and waved. Bucky said some things that no one (at least, no one around me) understood, then said it was time for intermission. We stayed in our seats, talking about the performances so far. I'm glad we brought the binoculars, we could really see their faces and everything. Theme music signaled the start of the second half. First Chris cam out, then Elliot, then Catherine, then the 4 guys, and then finally, Taylor! I could hear the start of Jailhouse Rock and then Taylor was near the front of the audience. Needless to say, I was on my feet and screaming myself hoarse. Then he sang Do I Make You Proud and then Takin' It To The Streets. That rocked so hard, I felt like I was at the Green Day concert. Then he left the stage then everyone came back and sang We Are The Champions (ahhhh, sweet memories of Green Day) and a couple more songs, then it was over. I had been so excited, I can't really remember the last few moments. The end of a concert is always a letdown, I find. Anyway, we went to the souvenirs table and Mom managed to get us to the front of the line in no time. I got a Taylor shirt and a button. Super happy fun bonus: they were giving out free PopTarts outside! The perfect end to a perfect evening.

Concert!!!

It's finally here!!! Tomorrow- the American Idol concert! I'm going to see Taylor!!! I'm sooooooo excited! I hope it's good. Maybe it won't be as good as Green Day (I know Taylor probably won't point and smile at me like Billie Joe did...that was a night to remember!), but it should still be pretty good. I can't believe I'll actually get to see Taylor in person!!!
