Guess who's back!

I'm back from vacation. It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. My room was so big and so private, I felt like a movie star. And I'll really miss everyone there, especially Hibs. Well, back to the daily grind.

Soul Patrol! Soul Patrol! Soul Patrol!

Yes, I am a member of the Soul Patrol. It's funny, I always thought of myself as a punk rock type, but here I am, loving this music that I didn't even know I liked. I just heard Taylor's song "Soul Thing" for the first time yesterday (from Under the Radar). Listening to that song makes me feel so proud to be in the Soul Patrol. Taylor came along at the perfect time for me. I was just getting bored of my music again when along comes Taylor. I still love Green Day and Alkaline Trio though. Alkaline Trio is kind of a new find for me and I still haven't heard all their songs. But they totally rock!
Anyway, going back to Taylor (which I suspect may happen a lot in this blog ;)):
He is so totally awesome!!! I was so glad when he won AI. I've never watched the show seriously before, just off and on. But when Taylor walked into that audition room and started singing, I knew he would go far. I was hoping he'd be the next American Idol, but I wasn't sure enough people would see in him what I did. Obviously, America made the right choice. I'm going to the AI concert in August and I can't wait to see Taylor! the others too, but mostly Taylor.

Taylor!

I just can't stop thinking about Taylor! His voice is just sooooo incredible! Sorry Billie Joe, but I've found a new favorite. Green Day still gives me that "I'm home" feeling, but Taylor's voice...it just, I don't know, makes me dance inside. I can't get enough! And the fact that he's gorgeous doesn't hurt either... : P

Comments

I guess no one read my poem yet or anything on this blog. That's ok...i'm not sure I want anyone to read this. But if someone is reading this, maybe you're wondering why it's called "I love ducks!" Well. it's because I do love ducks, especially Muscovys, Mallards, and Mottleds. Wild ones come to my backyard and I feed them. I could watch them for hours. Funny story: A male duck was surprosed by our windchime. His mouth flew open and his eyes grew wide as he gasped in surprise. His female companion then yelled at him for being scared of a windchime.
Anyway, I have a million cute stories about my ducks, all of which I will tell you about right now! J/K ; )

A Poem

I wrote this poem about someone who recently became famous (like really famous last Wednesday night...hint, hint). When I first heard him sing, back in January, I instantly fell in love with that voice and I was rooting for him all the way. Here it is:

Groove
Your inner groove
It thrills me
Chills spilling down my spine.
It moves me, soothes me,
Makes me feel alive.
There’s a light in my soul
I can’t stop thinking about that sound !
Whiskey tenor.
Silver Fox.
Your groove makes me
Groove too.

My First Blog!

Hi! I'm really new to this but it looks like fun. I don't even care if anyone reads it...maybe I don't even want them to. But if you're reading this, I hope you enjoy it! : )
